Twenty-Five Days of Christmas Movies Part 1

I don't know about you, but I love Christmas Movies. I love them so much I watch them year round. I decided to make an easy 25 day's of Christmas movies calendar in order to avoid doing homework. While of course we all have our favorites, here are my picks for the Twenty-Five days 'till Christmas.

December 1st: Miracle on 34th Street-- You can pick which ever version you'd like (I prefer the original) But whether your a Natalie Wood or a Mara Wilson Fan, this is a great movie to start off the holiday season with.

December 2nd: The Family Stone-- Who doesn't like dysfunctional families who comes together at Christmas.

December 3rd: Meet Me in St. Louis-- While you might not think this is a Christmas movie, the most important part and most famous song take place during the christmas season. Most people have know clue that "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" comes from this movie. So join Judy Garland for one of my favorite movies of all time.

December 4th: The Nightmare Before Christmas-- I don't know what it is about this movie, but it's so much fun.

December 5th: The Bishops Wife-- Cary Grant plays Dudley a guardian angel. Also if you aren't in the mood for another old movie, You can always get the remake The Preachers Wife with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston.

December 6th: Christmas With the Kranks--You gotta' love Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis in this movie. Yes the premise of the movie is very stupid, but it's got a great cast.

December 7th: Ernst Saves Christmas-- need I say more except It's so stupid it's funny!

December 8th: A Charlie Brown Christmas-- I've always wanted a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! Don't worry about renting it, you can watch it on ABC. You can catch it on December 8th at 8/7c or on December 16th.

December 9th: Scrooged-- Got to love Bill Murrey!

December 10th: The Santa Clause-- This movie makes me laugh every time I watch it. Yes, they have made 2 others but The first one in my opinion is best. Thank you Tim Allen!

December 11th: Love Actually-- Even though I watch this one year round, it's a great reminder that Love is all around us. And you got to love Hugh Grant dancing scene.

December 12th: The Polar Express-- I thought this was a very fun movie that is perfect for the holiday season.

Well, that brings us part way in Rachel's Twenty-Five Days of Christmas Movies. I'll post part two as soon as things die down a bit. Happy Movie Watching.

Quotes

"To discover the forgotten poor is more that the work of "social action", as some would call it. It is rather to put our Bibles back togeather again. Indeed, it is nothing less than to restore the integrity of the Word of God--in our lives, our congregations, our communities and our world." -- Jim Wallis; God's Politics

"He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God."
--Micah 6:8

"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."
-- Martin Luther

"Our political leaders, after all, are just that--political. No mater what their faith, or lack thereof, they are just plain old people doing a plain old job. They can't save America. It isn't in their job description. They can make changes at the margins by helping a bit here and there. But, ultimately, the work of America is our work. And my ultimate hope is back where it should be--not with fishing, not with politics, but with God."
